-The spirit in these scissors-

We Japanese have always been taught, by our grandfathers, our grandmothers, our parents, to “treasure the things we have.”

We have believed that the tools and things that we lovingly use over many years will harbor spirits, souls.

In recent years, as we now live in an age of mass-production and mass-consumption due to advancements in mechanization, we feel that we are starting to forget the wisdom of “treasuring and loving a single item for a long time.”

The scissors we make, handcrafted one at a time, are by no means extravagant items.

However… in order to create scissors worthy of being used extensively by hairstylists and beauticians over a 5, 10 year period, or more, we believe that it is important to make them simple and easy to operate.

We have spent much time observing the work of cutting hair, considered the relationship of hair and hands to scissors, and dedicated many years to the selection of materials and design until we were finally able to develop and produce the fruits of our labors, and we will continue to carefully and painstakingly build each pair of scissors by hand.

In order to create scissors that reflect the current times, we will continue to research and experiment, and with our unique knowledge and skills, we can provide hairstylists and beauticians around the world with the tools to precisely fit their diverse needs.
